Nuclear Cardiology Spect Computer Software is an integrated softwarepackage for interactive visualization and analysis of multidimensionalimages. The software runs on standard SPARC-based workstations with aminimum of 8 MB memory; it also works under the UNIX operating system andthe OPEN LOOK graphical user interface. The software can operate on any2-D tomographic slice data stored in interfile format. It uses a pull-down menu structure with all menu selections mouse driven. It createsspectacular 3-D images by a volume rendering technique, utilizing a ray-casting or back-to-front projection combined with a wide choice ofgradient shading algorithms. With Nuclear Cardiology Spect ComputerSoftware, rendering an image takes only a few seconds.
